As a young woman I was terrified of birth, due to the movies, T.V. shows and how they portrayed birth. Then a girlfriend invited me to her home birth. She used The Bradley Method®. After seeing her give birth with ease and joy, my life was changed forever. I decided then, that if I ever had children I would use The Bradley Method®. And I did! It was an empowering experience. I have been passionate about natural childbirth ever since and I am grateful and honored to be able to share this with other women. In a country where many women have grown up fearing the labor and birth process, pregnant women need an up-to-date, positive and supportive kind of childbirth education, which teaches them to make informed choices. IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR OPTIONS, YOU DON'T HAVE ANY!

Topics include staying healthy & low risk, nutrition, exercises, normal pregnancy, labor, birth and its variations, risks/benefits, comfort measures, positive communication skills, role of the husband/partner and a variety of relaxation skills to use during the birth experience. Breastfeeding, postpartum care and infant care are also included. Classes are 12 weeks long and are held at my home from 7 to 9 pm. If you have missed the first two or three classes, I will teach a make-up class to get you caught up. I supplement with videos and lots of handouts. Student workbooks are included in the course fee. Extended payment plans and a sliding scale are available.
