Welcome! I'm Dr. Emily Gampper, and I hope you decide that the Bradley Method is right for you! I have been teaching Bradley classes for 3 years now, and I absolutely love every minute of it!
As far as my personal background goes, I have two beautiful daughters (ages 1 and 3), and I utilized the techniques I learned in the Bradley Method classes during both of my labors. Both of my girls were born at home in a peaceful, serene, relaxed environment. I decided to become a Bradley teacher after I heard so many women complaining about their birth experiences. I was surprised to hear that many other moms had not had the joyful birth experience I had, and I just knew if they had taken Bradley classes their stories and attitudes would be different! I believe birth should be a very intimate family moment, and I hope that the information that couples learn in the class will help them to experience just that!
Other than being certified by the American Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth, I am also a pediatric and pregnancy-certified chiropractor. I am a fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. I also currently work as an adjunct faculty member at Walters State, where I teach Anatomy and Physiology. To sum up myself in a nutshell, I love birth and everything that comes with it!

Classes typically meet once a week for 12 weeks. Each class will last approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. During class, we will discuss pregnancy nutrition, exercises, relaxation techniques, breastfeeding, coaching during labor, emergency childbirth, and more. This class is jam-packed with valuable, must-have information! It is perfect for anyone who is expecting, whether or not you desire a natural birth. It equips you with the information you need to make educated decisions about your baby and your labor.
Cost: $225. This includes the cost of your workbook, which we will work out of each week. Many couples choose to pay a little bit each week, and others choose to pay it all up front. I am very flexible on payments. I am a Bradley-certified doula, so I also offer my assistance at the birth (if couples so desire) at no extra charge. I encourage couples to view Bradley classes as an investment into their child's health and future. I find that most couples who take Bradley classes actually save money in the long run because they often have fewer medical costs throughout their lifetimes, and they choose to breastfeed (so they save money on formula)!
If you are interested in taking a Bradley class, please contact me to find out my scheduled class dates. I often have more than one series going on at a time, so I can usually accommodate anyone. Since I am the only Bradley instructor within a couple of hours of many couples in East TN and Virginia, I can also make special class accommodations for couples who travel long distances for the class.
Call to register today! It is a decision that will affect the choices you make for your family for life!
