Thank you for your interest in Natural Childbirth.
My name is Heather Hannon, and my husband, Craig, and I have 4 children (3 boys and 1 girl). Childbirth is our passion, and we are proud to say we have been part of the Richmond birth community for seven years and Bradley instructors for four. Craig and I have a firsthand understanding of what you need to have a healthy and rewarding birth experience. Our classes provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to handle the challenges of labor and be an active participant in the birthing process.
We believe that birth is a normal, safe event and that natural childbirth offers the best possible start for you and your baby. Our own experience has taught us that childbirth also has the potential of being incredibly rewarding and even life-changing. In order to have a fulfilling and healthy birth experience you must be knowledgeable and feel encouraged throughout the process.
Bradley classes helped us grow closer as a couple and taught us the skills and knowledge we needed to acheive our goal of a healthy, joyful birth. Because of this life affirming experience it became our passion to share this knowledge with others.
What makes our classes unique is the wealth of experience and practical knowledge we offer couples. We are tremendously lucky to have gone through a variety of birth experiences, including three natural births (two in the hospital setting and one homebirth). Each birth taught us something different about the birthing process, and in turn made us better Bradley instructors. My experience as a Bradley Trained Labor Assistant also allows me to bring current and practical examples into the classroom.
Our class is well respected within the community, and to date we have helped prepare over 125 local area couples for the birth of their child. We are lucky to have so many former Bradley students, now new mommies and daddies, that are eager to return to class and share their wisdom and insight with you! During your class you will hear from former students that share a variety of birth stories because it helps to talk with moms and dads that have recently gone through this experience and learn what helped them.
It is our goal to offer you a well rounded and personalized childbirth education experience that is tailored to fit your needs. We understand that every couple is unique and enters this journey with their own special set of needs and circumstances. We hope to support your wishes and help you feel secure and good about the options you have chosen, because when you feel comfortable with the birthing process you are more likely to have a rewarding and healthy experience..
