Heidi has been teaching The Bradley Method(R) of Natural Childbirth since 1997.   Heidi became certified after the birth of her second son (Robert) into the loving hands of a midwife.  Feeling empowered by the birth experience, Heidi did not want anyone to go through a painful experience like she had with her first birth in 1993.  It is NOT Heidi's goal to tell couples what or what not to do.   It is her job to educate the couple on the pros and cons with each test or procedure so the couple can make an educated decision on what is right for them.  Education causes couples to become empowered.  Feeling empowered strengthens the bonds between a man, a woman and their new baby.  That is what it is all about!

Heidi has been married to Bill since 1989.  They have 5 children.  When Heidi is not homeschooling or taking her children to their various activities, she spends her "free" time in the garden or at the YMCA.

Andy and Kathy said, "We took the class when we were pregnant with #3 and the experience was night and day.  With the first one, we had every intervention except a c-section and the second one was pretty darn close to the first one.  We had a lot of concerns about the interventions and we wanted to avoid it with our third delivery.  Even though we had 2 previous births, we learned so much from the classes.  It made the birth a PLEASURE!"

Classes are typically held on Sunday afternoons at 3:00.  I have many students who travel a great distance to attend the class-some as much as an hour and a half one way!  Late Sunday afternoons do not cut into the weekend too much and do not get too late for those who travel.
