Jacqueline Sears is Momma to two little boys,
Roscoe and Merritt, whose very different births inspired a desire to
educate and empower families to be better informed and more confident through
birth preparation and education.
A VCU graduate, Jacqueline brings an evidence-based community perspective and appreciation for
the positive impact that a partner-coached, low-intervention birth can have on the
mother-baby pair and the family unit especially. She is a professional birth doula and Co-Director for Birth Matters, Richmond.
Andy Sears confidently coached Jacqueline through the births of
their two sons and recalls a deep connection and admiration for her
determination and strength. He believes that supporting his wife to
bring Roscoe and Merritt into the world was the first critical step to becoming
a present and engaged father. The shared experience better prepared Andy and
Jacqueline to tackle together the joys and challenges of parenting, and will
forever remain a source of pride for him.
Andy is grateful that they chose the
Bradley Method® and that he took the opportunity to be there for his wife and
family.
Andy was born and raised in Virginia, attended VCU to study
Urban Planning and Business, and is now the vice president of his family’s
company with which he has been involved since he was a kid. He’s proud to call
Richmond his home and looks forward to raising his boys in this vibrant and
creative city.
