Ingrid, now that your son is here what advice would you offer other mothers and coaches? 1st time mothers - no way to describe this experience!!! One thing I wish is that I had been more forceful with my husband about getting help (having a doula). I think we could have had a much better experience in the hospital if we had. If something isn't sitting right with you - change it! It was hard work but worth it. My little guy was alert and so strong when he came out and I truly believe this is because we had an unmediated Bradley Breech Birth.
Ingrid, how did the nurses help or not help? Since we showed up at the hospital at 10cm with the urge to push, the nurses weren't really an issue, positive or negative.
What techniques, that you learned in class, did you find helpful? Eating and drinking a lot...visualization, massage and breathing - focus on breath! ~ Ingrid
