Serving Denver, Colorado Metro Area as a Certified Childbirth Educator and Doula in The Bradley Method® of Natural Childbirth
Plan Ahead for May, June, July and August 2013 Bradley Doula Services
My labor support services are exclusive to those families who have completed a 12 week series of childbirth education in The Bradley Method® of Natural Childbirth.
Enjoy the comments of some recent students.
Janet is truly a knowledgeable and passionate Bradley Method teacher. As an RN I have personally audited her classes and can tell you she will well prepare you for birth. I highly recommend her !!! ~ Toni
Janet,
We just can't tell you how valuable you were to us and appreciate you coming in
the middle of the night! Your knowledge of what to try next and ability to help keep me focused and not
so distracted from the craziness going on around me finally helped things
progress. Otherwise I might have gone much longer and
would have not accomplished the natural birth I wanted!! Your pain relief
techniques were amazing. It was great to have another set of hands. We can't thank you enough but would like to! You were worth your weight in
gold! ~ Kristi
Dear Janet,
I
hope you are doing well! Jared and I wanted to send you a Christmas
card, but the only address I have for you is at the church... if I send
it there to your attention, will you receive it? I think about you all
the time. Particularly these last few months when two years ago I was
carrying Riley and attending your classes. You'll never know what a
profound impact you've had on my childbirth experience - an experience
that is the highlight of my life.
Merry Christmas, and please do let me know where to send the card. It has an updated picture of Riley, of course!
Warm wishes for a happy holiday,
Julie
Dearest Janet - Dave and I had such a great time in your class. I am so glad we found you! It was a wonderful experience and we learned more than I ever expected. I think it was a great bonding experience for us. Thank you also for all the help and guidance you have offered us. I look forward to our reunion and we will certainly keep you posted. Thank you again for a great 12 weeks! Many Hugs, Morgan
Hi Janet!
I hope you're doing well! Connor just celebrated his 1st birthday 2 weeks ago and his 5th and 6th teeth are coming in.
Larry and I still think that you gave us the most incredible experience in the world. We still tell people to look into Bradley!
Thank you! ~ Jennifer and Larry
Fabulous class, so glad we took it, even as a labor and delivery nurse! I learned so much and I think my husband will be a fabulous coach because of your teachings. Thank you so much. ~Stacy
Stacy, what do you think of your classes now that little Charlie is here?
Dear Janet, thank you, thank you for all of your hard work! We are so lucky to have found you. Thank you for all you taught us over twelve weeks - the time and energy you put into each class was the key to our success. The skills we learned and practiced each week gave us the tools and, more importantly the confidence, to make our unmedicated delivery a reality. I wasn't sure I could do it Janet, but each Tuesday night after attending your class I got a boost of confidence and thought, "I really can do this, I know I can." Brian expertly did massage, used visual and emotional relaxation measures, and stood by reassruing me I could do it as I exclaimed "I can't". He knew what to do every step of the way. You are such an amazing teacher, and we're so happy you teach here in our neighborhood and we got to learn from you. You're wonderful Janet, we're so thankful for what you taught us and for our safe, beautiful delivery and a healthy mom and baby. ~ Sincerely, Brian, Stacy and Baby Charlie
Stephanie, do you have any suggestions for students considering my classes?
Janet, you really meant it when you said we would have homework! How many times did you say we learn by reading it, talking about it, practicing it and writing about it? I would tell your future students to do the homework. Your class brought us closer together as a couple and our birth really did unfold; what we learned just came to us - just like you said it would! Thanks! It is so obvious you love to teach. ~ Steph and T.J.
Ingrid, now that your son is here what advice would you offer other mothers and coaches? 1st time mothers - no way to describe this experience!!! One thing I wish is that I had been more forceful with my husband about getting help (having a doula). I think we could have had a much better experience in the hospital if we had. If something isn't sitting right with you - change it! It was hard work but worth it. My little guy was alert and so strong when he came out and I truly believe this is because we had an unmediated Bradley Breech Birth.
Ingrid, how did the nurses help or not help? Since we showed up at the hospital at 10cm with the urge to push, the nurses weren't really an issue, positive or negative.
What techniques, that you learned in class, did you find helpful? Eating and drinking a lot...visualization, massage and breathing - focus on breath! ~ Ingrid
