The series starting Friday, May 13th is full. As the result, an overflow series for Saturday, May 14th, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, is open for enrollment.
As you search for a Bradley Instructor or a Bradley Doula consider these points:
- Does the teacher or doula have a current certification with American Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth? Any teacher or doula would be glad to show you her certificate.
- Does the teacher follow the Bradley outlines and use the Student Workbook as a guide for every class?
- Does the teacher teach any other childbirth methods, use any other curriculum or in conjunction with a Bradley Method series? Our contract clearly states this is a violation of our certification.
- Does the teacher assure you a full 12 week series? Our contract states anything less than 12 weeks (24 hours or instruction) is not The Bradley Method and must not be advertised as such. "All classes must be taught using AAHCC outlines. The Bradley Method® class
series is a twelve (12) week consecutive series of twelve (12) classes, the
required standard. Private "crash courses" for one couple only with
special needs may not be routine and may NOT be advertised/publicized. Crash/condensed courses may not be represented as a complete Bradley™ class and
more often result in a medicated birth." AAHCC Statement Policy, Continuing Requirements: Item 7.
- Are the main principles for every class a focus on a healthy pregnancy, staying low risk, relaxation, avoiding unnecessary interventions, informed consent and the normal progression of labor and birth?
The Bradley Method is on Facebook.

Janet, Thank you for everything in helping us prepare for the birth of "little" J. We learned so much in our classes with you that it did make us confident and knowledgeable in dealing with our hospital staff. It has been great getting to know you through our Bradley classes and you are such a great teacher! Thank You! ~ Andrea and John
Janet, We truly can't thank you enough for all of the tools, support, and knowledge you have given to us. This is probably one of the most important part of our lives, and you have helped us feel like we can do it! We are a little nervous, but mostly ready and excited to meet our baby. You have given us so much strength and confidence and I truly can't express how grateful we are for you. You come up in our conversations with friends and family when we talk about this amazing pregnancy journey so much that we just say Janet now and everyone knows that we are talking about our instructor :) Thank you Janet for all the wisdom. ~ Shanna and Matt
Thanks for the prayers! Baby Girl was born yesterday at 10:42 A.M. She was 9lbs 7oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Chunky! That is what 100 grams of protein a day will do. Heather was amazing and we got the non-medicated birth we wanted. I got to catch the baby and hand her to Heather. It's cheaper if you deliver your own baby, right? Name, still TBD! The classes really helped prepare for the event. And Janet was a great help as the doula. It does get science-fictiony. [sic] ~ Ben
Janet, We just want to say thank you again so much of all that you do. We really enjoyed being in your class and we are so grateful for all that we have learned from you. It was such a joy getting to know you and we are very appreciative of all the extra time and care that you have shown to us. You truly are a blessing to so many. With Great Thanks ~ Erin, Zach and Nolan
Dear Janet, I cannot thank you enough for your support during the last week of my pregnancy. Your knowledge and kind words were such a comfort to me . Your clients are lucky to have you for such an important stage in life ! :) All the best, C.G. Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado
Cody and I wanted you to know that our beautiful daughter decided to enter the world. We had a 33 hour natural, unmedicated labor. It was an experience of a lifetime and we want to thank you for empowering us. All of the nurses at the hospital spoke of how rare it was to have someone choose a natural labor and commended us for choosing to do so. Never once did the nurse or doctor offer us an epidural, which was really great for that transitional stage! She began breastfeeding immediately and has done so well. In fact, she already gained 2 oz! Thank you again for all of the knowledge and time you bestowed to us. ~ Ashley
Janet, we went into labor yesterday after nipple stimulation around 2:30 P.M. We got to the hospital about 6:15 and gave birth at 10:14. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Dillon, my mom, the nurse and the midwife were amazing. I could never have done it without the wonderful team and all of the training from you. We thank you so much. ~ Megan
Hope you're well, Janet! B.M. and I got the babies together this week for a play date and we were reminiscing and talking about how we couldn't have had our babies without YOU! Blessings, Heidi
Janet, Thank you so much for ALL of your support and encouragement! My family absolutely LOVES you! They were all thoroughly impressed with what a fantastic doula you were and they were grateful to have you there. Even our nurse Martha came up to say hi tonight and mentioned what a pleasure it was working with you. You seriously rock! ~ Amy
Hi Janet! It does seem like just yesterday...We have been complete zombies this last week and have kinda lost track of what day it is, but have been enjoying every minute of it. What an amazing experience this all is...We are just completely blown away at how beautiful our daughter is. Thank you again for being such a great teacher, resource, and friend to us. We are so appreciative of you and we still feel so strongly that we would have been so lost without your presence during labor and delivery and the teachings you gave us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ~ Erik
