Home   About Me   My Classes   Why 12 Weeks?   Course Content

First, let me say congratulations on your pregnancy!    I hope it has been a joy so far.

I teach a 12 week series enriched by videos, games, labor rehearsals, relaxation practice, healthy snacks and of course, you and your partner!  My intention is to give you enough information to take away any fear & uncertainty so that you can have a healthy, wonderful childbirth experience.

Topics include:

nutrition for a healthy, low-risk pregnancy
proven relaxation techniques
prenatal exercises
techniques for labor and birth
effective labor and birth positions
active participation by a caring partner
if complications arise
postpartum care
breastfeeding
caring for your newborn

  • The recommended start date for classes is around the 20 - 26th week of your pregnancy to make sure you have enough time to finish the series before your little one arrives.
  • Natural childbirth is more readily achieved with active, caring support.  Moms-to-be are encouraged to bring a committed husband/partner/friend/relative to the classes.
