When
my husband and I discovered we were pregnant in 2011, we were ecstatic. As we
started doing more research, though, we realized we wanted to have a natural
birth. We believe God created us with the capability to birth naturally.
However, we knew we needed help in accomplishing this, so we took Bradley
classes to prepare mentally, physically, and emotionally.
The
series proved to be worth its weight in gold, for we had the natural childbirth
experience that we so desired! Noah was lovingly brought into this world free
of drugs and on his timetable. In addition, my husband was able to actively
participate in the birth, which was very important to him. I felt so empowered
and overjoyed by this experience that I want to help other women to achieve
their goals.
In June of 2014 we welcomed our daughter Grace into the world by again using what we learned through The Bradley Method®. She peacefully made her entrance into the world at our home without any interventions or drugs of any kind.
In August of 2017 we joyfully welcomed another baby into our lives. Benjamin was born at home in the early morning hours with the help of my husband and midwife. We were so grateful to have another gentle, intervention-free labor and delivery.
In November of 2022 we were blessed with the addition of Henry to our family. He graciously came into this world at home in a birth pool. My husband, midwife, and I worked as a team to accomplish this in the peaceful stillness of the morning.
I
am a teacher at heart and love imparting practical skills and knowledge to
people. I believe that knowledge is power. Women who don’t know they
have options don’t have any. Therefore, I desire to familiarize women with the
options they have during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and beyond.
