Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thanks for your interest in The Bradley Method®.
You and your baby deserve the best start, free from unnecessary drugs and their side effects. Taking classes now can make that a reality. But how can you tell if and when the drugs are appropriate for you, since they sometimes are? Ah, that's why you've got to come to class!
When should you start classes? At least 12-14 weeks before your estimated due date. (So someone with an EDD in May or June. would want to begin classes in February, for example.)
Stack the Deck! Discovering your options and preparing yourself take time and practice for both mother and coach. No one knows what cards she'll be dealt in labor, but by taking Bradley classes, you stack the deck in your favor for a natural and joyful birth.
My classes cover all aspects of a normal pregnancy and birth, newborns and breastfeeding (click on Why 12 weeks, above). You'll learn how to have the healthiest pregnancy and birth - naturally and joyfully!
The class fee covers the workbook and handouts, with many books and dvds available to borrow. Payments may be partly bartered for, and private classes are available. Classes meet at Bellani Maternity on Rte. 2 in Warwick, centrally located for RI couples and not far from CT and southern MA. For more details, see www.naturalbirthsofri.com .
About 10-15% of Bradley students end up with a C-section. That's still too high, but it's only one third of the US and RI C-section rates. Of the 85-90% of Bradley students who avoid surgery, 86% need no drugs at all, having a truly natural birth! That's what your body was made to do and you really can do it!
You'll gain courage and confidence, learning how Mother Nature is on your side, and your partner will learn how to REALLY help you during your labor!
I also teach The Bradley Method® Early Pregnancy Classes. These are just $40 for 2 classes that cover how to stay healthy, low risk, and comfortable during your pregnancy. There's no obligation to take the full Bradley series; the Early Pregnancy Classes stand alone. You should take these classes soon after finding out you're pregnant.
Classes are small and fill up quickly, so don't put off registering. That belly's growing bigger!
