Thank you for inquiring about the Bradley Method®!



We have five children, all born by unmedicated births, with the latter four being Bradley Method ® births.



Because the Bradley Method® prepared us for our own births and the outcomes of each were so excellent, we chose to teach the Bradley Method® to help others.



My encouragement to first-time expectant moms is this: Birth doesn't have to be as scary and traumatic as what is shown on television. It saddens me to see women screaming and medication being glorified as the only way to get through a modern labor. A woman's body was designed to give birth and the notion that women cannot handle what their body was naturally meant to do is a lie.



If you knew that nine months from now, you were going to participate in a serious athletic event, would you sit on your couch and watch television and relax until the big day? No. You would take care of your body and do everything you could to prepare.



Birth IS an athletic event. 90% of Bradley® students have unmedicated births because the Bradley Method® classes teach more than 'what to expect during a birth', they also help to prepare the body for birth through good nutrition, prenatal exercise, and relaxation techniques.



Through Bradley® classes, husbands are also prepared as they gain an understanding of birth, naturally managing pain, helping to encourage a calm, joyful atmosphere in the birthing room, and to learn to be encouragers throughout pregnancy, during labor and beyond.

The goal of our classes is for healthy moms and healthy babies. Please join us!

 
Class Information:



October 1, 2009, 7pm, is the first class in a 12 week series.



Classes are held in the Albrecht's home, located near the JustCo shopping center in Kashiwa, Japan, about 1 hour south west of Aomori city. Classes are in English and are video enhanced.

The standard Bradley® series is designed for small classes with lots of individual attention. The standard length of the classes is 12 weeks covering 12 units of instruction. The Student Workbook is included in classes. It is 130 pages with over 75 pictures and illustrations. A coach card is also included. Your local Bradley® teacher is an independent affiliated instructor. Some classes are video enriched and offer a Certificate of Congratulations.
