| When we first become pregnant, Sharon knew she wanted to give birth naturally, because she felt it was the way women had for centuries. We had no idea about the health benefits for mom and baby. We knew many women who planned on giving birth naturally, but were unable to because they did not have the information or skills to do so. Rob searched out information on natural births, and we were ecstatic to find the Bradley Method®. After reading Dr. Bradley's book and attending the classes, we had the skills and confidence to give birth completely naturally to a beautiful baby boy. It was the most amazing experience for both of us. Taye is now 4 years old and we had a second Bradley® birth with our little girl, Jadyn, in May of 2008. As a family, we believe strongly in natural living, and it all begins with natural childbirth. So we went through the training to become Bradley® instructors. We believe in the principles the Bradley Method® teaches, especially that women can achieve a completely natural birth if they learn to tune in and trust their bodies. We also love how active the husband or partner is as a coach. It enhances the relationship between the couple, as well as begins a wonderful foundation for the daddy and baby relationship. Aside from teaching childbirth classes, Sharon is a stay-at-home mom and wedding coordinator at their local church. Rob is a high school teacher, and a part time youth pastor. To make himself even busier he also coaches football and track. We love how we are able to work with all ages, youth and new parents! |
| Our classes are taught in our home in Kalamazoo. Each series goes for 12 weeks, where we learn about taking care of the pregnant mom, the childbirth process, and techniques to achieve natural childbirth. We both work together in teaching, to provide the female and male side of births, as well as to make the classes interactive. There is a fee of $250, which covers the cost of the 12 week classes, your student workbook, and other class materials. Scholarships and payment plans are available. We do not want money to be a reason for a couple to not take this class. If you have a conflict with our teaching times, please contact us and we will try to work something out or refer you to another Bradley® instructor. |

| The standard Bradley® series is designed for small classes with lots of individual attention. The standard length of the classes is 12 weeks covering 12 units of instruction. The Student Workbook is included in classes. It is 130 pages with over 75 pictures and illustrations. A coach card is also included. Your local Bradley® teacher is an independent affiliated instructor. Some classes are video enriched and offer a Certificate of Congratulations. |
