HI my name is Bethany!  

I teach Bradley Method® Classes in the Louisville KY area.   I first started learning about the Bradley Method® in 2004 with the birth of my first daughter.  I went through  the 12 week Bradley classes, and found that laboring naturally was easier than I expected.  Relaxation WORKS!  I labored to 10 cm and pushed for 2 hours naturally.  Because the birth environment that I was in was not very natural birth friendly, and the doctor on call was not very supportive, I ended up with a Cesarean.  (1 in 3 women in the United States end up the same way!!!) 

I was more determined than ever after that birth experience to have the natural birth that I wanted.  I again went through Bradley® classes to prepare both mentally and physically.  I changed from a doctor to a CNM and also changed birth environments, and had a wonderful natural birth!!

I decided a year after my VBAC that I wanted to help other women experience the JOY of natural chidbirth, and I started to work on my Bradley® certification.  I became pregnant with my third daughter in 2008, and had an amazing homebirth in January 2009.  Experiencing all of these different births, has greatly impacted me as a woman and teacher.

My Beliefs

I believe that our bodies were designed perfectly by our creator to give birth.  If we trust in the journey that birth takes us on and trust in the Lord to see us through it, then it is possible to give birth naturally without medication!  This does not mean that we do not need to educate ourselves and make preparations for birth.  The Bradley Method Childbirth classes are a 12 week series that does just that.  Birth is a miraculous time, it should be celebrated!

Bradley Classes are held in my home located in the Highview area of Louisville Ky.  Teaching in my home provides a more private and intimate environment that fosters bonding between myself and the couples.  It also allows moms to do labor rehearsals in the home environment.  The series is 12 weeks long and focuses on relaxation, nutrition, exercise, effective coaching, breastfeeding, and much more!

Class size is small, normally 6-8 couples, so early registration is recommended. 

You will need to wear comfortable clothing, and bring two pillows for our relaxation and exercise practice.

To register for a class simply send me an e-mail to let me know you would like to register.  I do require a $50 deposit for class registration.  This allows me to prepare in advance by purchasing workbooks and other materials for the first class.
