HELPING MOMS, DADS, AND THEIR BABIES FOR 14 YEARS AND COUNTING... Julie and her husband Chris took their first Bradley® class in anticipation of the birth of their second child in 1994. Excited by their Bradley® experience, Julie decided to share her enthusiasm with others by becoming a certified instructor. She began teaching after completing her training in November of 1995. She and Chris have since had two more children (four in all), also using Bradley® natural childbirth techniques. Having taught over 200 couples to give birth, Julie continues to enjoy spreading the good news to pregnant couples—that it is possible to give birth naturally. Whether you choose to give birth in a hospital, at home, or in a birth center; whether your birth attendant is a doctor or midwife, you will have the tools, knowledge, & experience necessary to give birth the way you, the parents, feel will benefit your baby best. 2010/2011 Childbirth Class Series Information: (see "class schedule" box below for starting dates of all currently scheduled series) Flexibility in the schedule allows for a broad range of due dates. Please contact me for more information on how we can accommodate your due date! Fee: $375.00. Space is limited—call early for a registration packet to reserve your space in class! Twelve weeks of classes, all handouts, your Student Workbook, and access to my lending library of books and videos related to pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, & parenting, plus weekly review classes (when available) are included in this fee. In class, couples are taught the natural process of birth and learn information about how to avoid unnecessary pain and about ways to handle positive pain. In addition, husbands are taught how to support a mother in pregnancy and how to be her advocate and coach during labor and birth. To ensure personal attention for each couple as they prepare for the upcoming birth of their baby, class size is limited; register early to guarantee a spot in the class! Classes are held in the comfortable surroundings of Julie's home in central Fairfax County. |

Though every class has a specific topic that is covered in detail, each class will also cover nutrition, exercise, positive communications, and coaching. A different relaxation technique will be demonstrated and assigned for practice by couples each week. Many classes involve video presentations. Additional reading and/or study assignments may also be given. DUE DATES APPROACH QUICKLY; SIGN UP EARLY!!! | The standard Bradley® series is designed for small classes with lots of individual attention. The standard length of the classes is 12 weeks covering 12 units of instruction. The Student Workbook is included in classes. It is 130 pages with over 75 pictures and illustrations. A coach card is also included. Your local Bradley® teacher is an independent affiliated instructor. Some classes are video enriched and offer a Certificate of Congratulations. |
