I was born and raised in Guatemala, and I have traveled the world meeting mothers who have given birth naturally.  When I was first pregnant, I knew this is what I wanted for my own birth.  I knew women were powerful in birth and I knew I could do it too.  However, my husband was scared out of his wits!  Somebody recommended we take a Bradley® Natural Childbirth Class and it changed our lives. 

We planned for a homebirth and had to transfer to a hospital for complications.  My son was a posterior birth and had we not taken the class we would have ended up with an unnecessary C-section.  It was a very long (33 hours) birth and was very tough but we did it.  We made very informed decisions because we knew what to expect and felt confident about what we wanted.  My husband was awesome!  Without him, I wouldn’t have made it. He was strong, confident and although he was afraid, he knew we could do it together.  This experience brought us closer and made us stronger parents as well. 

Our daughter Marcella was recently born at home as a waterbirth.  The transition between birth and newborn care was so stress-free.  It was a beautiful and peaceful experience. 

This is one of the main reasons why I teach Bradley® Natural Childbirth Classes.  I want dads or support people to be all the best that they can be.  I want mothers to have empowered births and feel good about the decisions they make during their births.  I want them to feel like they own their birth experience and to choose what is best for them.  I support homebirths, birth center births and hospital births too.  What is most important is that the mother feels safe and comfortable with her birth choices because they will impact her baby and her own health for the rest of their lives. 

Becoming a parent is an exhilarating experience!  I look forward to helping you and your family.

I teach the 12 week Bradley® series from my home in Vienna.  Classes are usually taught on thursday nights and are small and personal. I also teach private classes.  Please e-mail me for details.
