| Hello! Congratulations on your pregnancy! We have been married for four years. We took our own Bradley Method® class before our first daughter was born in December 2007. Our second daughter was born in May 2010. Both births were incredible natural births. I, Laura, will be the primary teacher; I decided to teach because I love learning about childbirth, as well as sharing this information. |
| The Bradley Method® class is two hours once a week for 12 weeks. A $50 deposit is needed to register (due at the first class). The full class fee for the Prescott area is $200. For the Flagstaff and Cottonwood areas, it is $250 (because of travel costs). A full refund can be given up through Class 3. (Other payment arrangements can be considered, depending on your needs.) Also, I am flexible with class dates and times. Relaxation is the key to having a safe, joyful, and unmedicated birth. We will cover several relaxation techniques, as well as nutrition and exercises to keep you low-risk and healthy. We also cover pregnancy, stages of normal labor, variations and unexpected situations, breastfeeding, and the postpartum period. As parents, you will be the experts of normality, and your birth attendant will be essential as the expert of abnormality. |
| I will teach Friday evenings from 6-8 pm in the Prescott area. The class will start on June 25. This class would be perfect for those due in late September or October. For those in Flagstaff: Check first with Erika Kessenich. (Find her under the provisional listings. Click on "Provisional Affiliates" under the list of teachers.) If that does not work, I am willing to travel to Flagstaff to teach a series. The easiest way to contact me is by email. | The standard Bradley® series is designed for small classes with lots of individual attention. The standard length of the classes is 12 weeks covering 12 units of instruction. The Student Workbook is included in classes. It is 130 pages with over 75 pictures and illustrations. A coach card is also included. Your local Bradley® teacher is an independent affiliated instructor. Some classes are video enriched and offer a Certificate of Congratulations. |
