I have been teaching Bradley® classes since October 1996 -- 13 years now! I have four Bradley® babies of my own: Caleb, born Feb. 1994 in a hospital with an OB, and Anna Claudia, born Dec. 1995 in the same hospital with the same OB. I gave birth to my third child, Leo, May 27, 2005, at home with two fabulous midwives in attendance. My fourth baby, Phoebe, was born at home August 23, 2009. This last baby was born in the water into my own hands (my midwives were standing by, being the lifeguards)--an amazing experience! |
My 12-week Bradley® courses are $275. I require a $50 deposit to save your spot in class, and then you can either pay in full the first night (the balance would be $225, less the $50 deposit), or make payments throughout the course of the class. Payment in full is expected by class 10. Once you finish your class series, you may continue coming to my next session until your baby is born at no extra charge. I do offer a discount for couples returning to my classes with subsequent pregnancies. I always love having experienced parents in class! I hope to be a mentor and guide to you and your partner in your discovery process; to remind you that birth is a healthy, normal part of a woman's life cycle; a profound rite of passage. Pregnant women are not sick. Pregnancy is not a condition or disability that needs curing. Women (You!) deliver babies, not doctors or midwives. Pain can be an inevitable part of childbirth, but pain does not need to equal suffering. Many ways to cope with labor are taught, including deep, abdominal breathing, massage/counter-pressure, visualization, and vocalization. We will have a discussion about narcotic and epidural pain relief. I am honored, humbled and privileged as a Bradley® birth educator to be a small part of such an amazing event in your life; to be able to participate as you discover the incredible power inherent in birth and in yourself as a birth-giver is truly a gift and a blessing.
