Warmest congratulations on being an expectant parent!  I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing time in people's lives as their Bradley instructor.

My husband and I had a wonderful birth experience in May 2008 when we welcomed our daughter Mia into the world.  We were so empowered by our Bradley Method class.  It makes me sad to think that any woman enters labor without a good idea of what to expect and how to relax through contractions.  So let’s solve that problem: come learn how to birth in my class, and then share this knowledge with everyone you know!   No matter what happens in labor, meeting your baby is going to be one of the most wonderful experiences of your life.  If you are prepared for it, birthing your baby can also be one of the best experiences of your life.

Having 12 Bradley classes gives you time to take in the information, practice relaxation techniques and labor positions, and learn how the coach (partner, husband, or other supportive person) can be creatively supportive throughout pregnancy and labor.  I looked forward to my Bradley classes each week.  It felt wonderful to have two hours set aside to focus on pregnancy with my husband, Tom.  Tom used the knowledge he gained from Bradley class to keep me comfortable during labor.  He made me feel so loved and supported.

Class Info:

Bradley Method classes emphasize the benefits of natural birth, and will give you the tools you need to birth naturally.  The World Health Organization (WHO) states that no region in the world
is justified in having a cesarean rate greater than 10 to 15 percent. 
Dr. Bradley was an Obstetrician whose patients had 96% unmedicated births.  Armed with the right information, and with a birth team who encourages natural birth, the odds are on your side!   However, this class will benefit you and improve your birth experience whether or not you wish to avoid interventions during birth. 

My classes are held in the Rosemont neighborhood of Alexandria, VA (about 5 minutes north of Old Town).
