My name is Isabel White, and I am thrilled to be a Bradley® instructor.  I have five children, my youngest was born in July '08.  I have had one homebirth and four hospital births, and all have been unmedicated births.  I am very excited to share the Bradley Method®  with you!

While pregnant with my first baby, I was sort of following along with the more 'traditional' care.  I was vaguely unhappy with how things were going, but didn't quite know what to do about it.  Isn't this just how it goes? At 7 mos, I went to my first La Leche League meeting to learn about breastfeeding.  After the meeting, I was talking to the leader, and mentioned some of my uneasiness with my current situation.  She said something to me that I will never forget.  "You know you're not sick, right?"  That was such a revelation to me, it had never dawned on me to think of pregnancy that way before.  It is a normal and natural process!  She called and got me into our local Bradley® teacher's classes, gave me the names of some midwives, and after discussing things over with my husband, we switched to a natural birth at home when I was about 7 1/2 months along.  It was a great experience.  For medical reasons, we decided to have natural hospital births with our other four children, they were attended by doulas and also wonderful experiences.  I really believe that the principles and methods taught in the Bradley Method® work, and can work for anyone, anywhere!!  I hope that I can positively affect your birth the way my Bradley® teacher did mine!
