Hello! My name is Stefanie and thank you for your interest in natural childbirth classes. When I learned of my pregnancy, I knew that this child was going to positively change my life forever and that every decision I made from that moment on would be directly impacted by him. Because of the importance of family, I chose to move back to I knew that the most rewarding decision I could make for him was to have a completely natural childbirth. I decided on a home birth because of my strong philosophical convictions and faith in how God created the woman’s body. My goal is to empower women in "relearning" the art of birth and to help educate what choices parents have in order to have the most incredible and positive birth. People have asked if I was scared since this was my first child. Honestly? I had my moments of fear but by educating myself through the Bradley Method® and other resources, I learned aspects of pregnancy, labor, and birth that gave me the confidence to be able to handle myself. I had an amazing 2 hour and 50 minute birth in the privacy of my home. While I made this decision for myself, I realize that everyone is different and has to make their decision based on personal beliefs and level of comfort. Educate yourself first, and then choose what best fits you! I believe that natural childbirth should be learned from someone who has had the experience. This is YOUR birth, YOUR baby, YOUR life! |
Because of the amount of information covered, classes are 12 weeks in length, lasting 2 hours each. Just as expecting parents should interview their birth team, I believe that interviewing your birth instructor is important as well. | The standard Bradley® series is designed for small classes with lots of individual attention. The standard length of the classes is 12 weeks covering 12 units of instruction. The Student Workbook is included in classes. It is 130 pages with over 75 pictures and illustrations. A coach card is also included. Your local Bradley® teacher is an independent affiliated instructor. Some classes are video enriched and offer a Certificate of Congratulations. |
