Congratulations on your pregnancy!  I have had 2 wonderful Bradley Method? births, I love the method and I'm sure you will too!

I was given my first Bradley Method? class in 2004 as a gift at a crisis pregnancy center.  I never planned on having a natural childbirth but after taking the class and becoming fully informed about everything related to birth I decided to have an un-medicated hospital birth.  For my second child, I took another Bradley class in 2009 to teach my husband how to be a coach.  I had my second child as a beautiful water birth at a birthing center.  I would really like for my next child to be born at home.  

The biggest reason I advocate natural childbirth and making fully informed decisions about your newborn is because of the important role it plays into breastfeeding success.  With that said, if you are skeptical about natural childbirth Bradley can help you make informed decisions about all of your choices that you may never learn in a hospital setting based childbirth class.  While 75% of women intend to breastfeed when they are pregnant, only 13% still are at 6 months.  Promoting breastfeeding is very important to me as I feel that it is quite possibly one of the best parenting decisions you can make and one of the greatest gifts to your child. 

The Bradley Method? teaches mothers how to stay or become low risk through exercise and nutrition throughout pregnancy.  It teaches the mothers and coaches relaxation during labor.  You will also learn how to write a birth plan or birth map.  And you will also learn about newborn care, breastfeeding, and other postpartum issues.

The Bradley Method? works is proven to work almost 90% of the time, that's higher than any other childbirth method.

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit to purchase supplies due before start of class. Classes in the Houston area are around $250.  This can be paid through cash, check, or pay pal for an additional charge.  Private classes are also  available for $350.  All of my classes are for mothers who are 26 weeks or earlier.

I am also available for aftercare doula services.

Classes are taught either out of my home which is near the triangle of NW Houston, Tomball, and Cypress or may be moving to the newest birthing center in Houston, The Magnolia Birthing Center, near Jones Rd. and Grant in North-by-Northwest Houston.

 My class times vary but currently I am finding Saturday morning classes to work best for us but I am able to teach private classes on a limited basis on weekday nights and later on Saturday.  Classes include the Bradley student workbook, The Baby Book, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, and Natural Childbirth the Bradley way, and handouts.  It's never too early to sign up for classes but as the classes are 12 weeks the cut off for classes is 26 weeks.

Bring a blanket, 2 pillows, and comfortable clothing that you don't mind squatting in.
