I want to have a natural birth but I don't think I can deal with the pain everyone says I will have.  What can I do?

What can I do to avoid an unnecessary cesarean ?  What choices do I have if I have to have a cesarean?
What effect do the drugs given to the mother to induce labor have upon the baby?

What natural drug free options do I have to give birth to my baby?

This husband coached childbirth method made a huge impact in our lives. It set the course for 4 wonderful, natural, healthy births and years of healthful living. Our children range from 24 to 33 years old and are proof of a great start during pregnancy and subsequent years. We are so thankful for the influence that Bradley had on us that years later, I decided to become an instructor. I believe that the information gained in the classes will help anyone interested in natural childbirth to have a wonderful birth experience and promote strong family bonds.
The Bradley Method® is a system of natural labor techniques in which a woman and her coach play an active part. You and your coach will learn simple, practical techniques of relaxation and natural breathing instead of seeking to control the sensations of labor with distraction methods. The classes give you the information to make responsible, informed decisions, and prepare you for unexpected situations. Classes are small with lots of individual attention, providing a backdrop for a woman's utmost awareness of a thrilling experience. For most couples, the fourth to the beginning of the sixth month is the suggested time to seriously start training for labor and for their upcoming role as parents. The earlier you start, the better prepared you'll be physically, emotionally, and mentally.
I do recommend emailing or calling early (first trimester) to find out about our Healthy Pregnancy Classes and other vital information. (these are one day classes that go over nutrition, exercise, and relaxation techniques you will need throughout your pregnancy and birth).

Loveland area classes are usually taught on Monday or Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:30pm depending on needs of the participants.. Regular class series should start as early as possible and hopefully no later than your sixth month of pregnancy.  I do recommend calling or emailing to get a book list and start grounding yourself in good healthy nutrition and the psychology of birth.
