Bradley Method® classes have a desire to take responsibility for their

unmedicated birth is advantageous for both the baby and the mother.
There has been no drug that has been proven safe for the unborn baby,
and studies have proven that drug adminstration to the mother reaches
the baby within minutes. So, instead of using narcotics to deaden the
pain of delivery, the Bradley Method® teaches the mother to work with
her body to relax through contractions with her husband coaching her all
the way. Of over 1,000,000 couples trained in The Bradley Method®
nationwide, over 86% of them have had spontaneous, unmedicated vaginal

weeks of training. This workbook assures a level of standardization for
teaching classes, and the primary goal of the curriculum is to train
both the coach and the mother. Coaches play a vital role in natural
childbirth and are responsible for knowing the mother, being aware of
the natural process of birth, and being the mother's advocate and
protector so that she can focus on the birthing process. Each class
provides extensive information about birthing options and sets aside
time to practice labor techniques during rehearsals. Topics discussed
range from nutrition to exercise to the natural progression of labor to
breastfeeding to complications and cesarean sections. Our students are
taught to critically think about everything that might happen during
their birth process and allow for them to make true informed decisions.
