In 1995 I found a new profession from the experiences of my children's births. My first birth experience in 1989 was a horrible drugged one, and resulted in a very sick baby. With the next baby I found a Midwife, took Bradley classes. I was so impressed with how well it all worked, and how healthy my baby was that I decided to teach them. My job now is to make sure no mother and baby in my classes has to go through what my eldest son and I experienced.
Today our most important job is to protect our children. It is the beginning of learning to parent. We need to educate ourselves regarding all choices we make for our kids' health and well being so we can make educated, not ignorant, decisions. Sometimes we say thank goodness for an intervention or medication when it is truly medically necessary, but how can we know that unless we educate ourselves? The good news is that once you learn to educate yourself on these issues and how to be your child's advocate, it is a life time skill that transfers well into parenting at all stages. I've been teaching Bradley classes for 27 years. I'm still at it, and probably always will be! In addition to my professional life, I am a mom of two amazing young men, and married to a wonderful man for 36 years. My philosophy for my students is "Healthy Baby, Healthy Mom, Positive Birth Experience"

Bradley Method classes are a comprehensive course that covers pregnancy nutrition, exercises, how to stay healthy and low risk, relaxation techniques, deep abdominal breathing, natural labor/comfort techniques, pros and cons of medical interventions, emergency situations, breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum, and more. They are the only childbirth classes statistically proven to reduce you chances of needing interventions or a cesarean.
Families who choose The Bradley Method? usually desire to have a loved one/husband/partner/friend trained as their primary labor assistant, or at least thoroughly educated so they know what to expect, what is normal, what is not, how to help, and when to ask for help. The primary focus is a healthy baby and mom, which is best achieved through a healthy, natural birth. The course teaches specific techniques to achieve this goal, and gives families the information they need to make important decisions that are right for their family, and their individual circumstances. The next series will be on June 15th, 2022, consecutive Wednesday evenings, 7 - 9:30 pm, IN-PERSON.
