I'm Jenny McMahon. I am a mom of three beautiful little girls, two of which I had completely natural after taking BradleyTM classes.
Here is a snapshot of our story:
During my first pregnancy, I began my research for options in birthing. Local BradleyTM classes were not available at that time, but I did read books on natural birth and had a basic understanding of the stages of childbirth. My husband didn’t read books with me and didn’t know anything about what to expect or what his role would be during labor. I completely expected to have a natural birth, but not really knowing what to do, not having a great support team around me, and not being educated enough to know my options, I ended up with medicated vaginal birth on March 31st, 2011. I shared my disappointments and my birth story with a co-worker who learned from my lack of knowledge and signed up for BradleyTM classes during her first pregnancy, hired a doula and had an AMAZING natural birth! I longed to have that amazing natural birth too, so when I got pregnant with baby #2, I signed up for BradleyTM classes and it completely changed my birth, my mindset, and my life!
My husband and I went through all 12 weeks and LOVED it!! We thoroughly soaked in all the info given. When my labor started on August 5th, 2015, my husband knew exactly what he needed to do and was an amazing coach! I was totally empowered by all the knowledge I had learned in our BradleyTM class. I felt informed and prepared to give birth. We had a fantastic hospital delivery, filled with joy! I immediately knew that I wanted to experience that again and was completely open to having A LOT more kiddos!! After that experience, I have been encouraging women to get educated on natural birth so that they can have the birth of a lifetime!! Since then, our family welcomed our second BradleyTM baby on July 4th, 2017.
Women's bodies are more than capable of the incredible task of giving birth. It takes commitment and dedicated learning to prepare for the marathon of giving birth, and that is why I teach The Bradley Method®! We want healthy mothers and healthy babies with involved partners/coaches. Giving birth is a privilege that not all women experience. May we rejoice in the blessings of pregnancy, childbirth, and raising the gifts that we have been given by God!
