When I learned I was pregnant with my first child, I felt lost in a sea of the unknown. The more I researched, the less I felt equipped to make confident decisions for the growing life within me. But at my core, I knew I wanted to join the millions of women throughout history who have gone before me in birthing naturally for thousands of years when medication wasn’t an option. My cousin recommended The Bradley Method® and our lives were forever changed. My husband and I felt empowered and equipped for our birth, he encouraged me through every bit of the difficult labor and our relationship deepened to a new level of intimacy.
I now have had three babies using the Bradley Method®—one at a birth center, one in a hospital, and one at home— and have become passionate about the beauty of childbirth. Because of the training in relaxation, affirmations, and bodily preparation through exercise and nutrition, I felt fully present in the miracle of my two births.
I am so excited to offer childbirth education to the Yuba Sutter area and fill a huge void that exists. As the saying goes “knowledge is power” and that absolutely rings true for childbirth. I want to help educate and empower people in this area that I love to know there is a different way to birth. With only one hospital in our area, it can begin to feel that there is only one way to birth. The Bradley Method® has so much to offer in terms of physical, mental and emotional preparation for labor and birth. The Bradley Method® for me helped illuminate the path and navigate the medical world that seemed so daunting. I am excited to come alongside you in this wonderful time of your life to help equip you to experience the unhinged joy and delight I have experienced in birth.
